His education in Spain, Russia and Finland by Carlos Iturralde, Miren Iñarga, Friedrich Lips and Matti Rantanen took place in prestigious schools such as Centro Internacional de Estudios Acordeonísticos, The Russian Academy of Music and the Sibelius Academy, where he was predicted a brilliant future.

After winning first prizes in various national and internacional competitions such as the "International Competition of Moscow", the “Coupe Mondiale” and the "Concurso Permanente de Jóvenes Intérpretes" of Juventudes Musicales of Spain, his career was boosted.

Iñaki Alberdi has performed with the “Orquesta de Radio Televisión Española”, "Joven Orquesta Nacional de España", “Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao”, “Symphony Orchestra of the Russian Ministery”, “Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi”, “Real Filharmonía de Galicia”, “Orquesta Nacional de Cámara de Andorra”, “Barcelona Sinfonietta”, “Orquesta Ciudad de Málaga” or the “Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid”, under the musical directions of Adrian Leaper, Josep Pons, Frances Llongueres, Cristóbal and Pedro Halffter, Juan José Mena or José Ramón Encinar. He has worked with actual composers such as: Gabriel Erkoreka, Jesús Torres, Ramon Lazkano, Joan Guinjoan, Luis de Pablo, Aureliano Cattaneo or
Giorgio Colombo Taccani.



 

     

 

 

 

The expressivity of his performances has been heard in concert halls such as Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, L'Auditori de Catalunya, Baluarte Auditorium in Pamplona, Musikaste, Quincena Musical, Festival de Música y Danza de Granada, Auditorio Manuel de Falla, the Kingston University, the Mostly Modern Series in Dublin, Schauspielhaus of Vienna, the Opera Theater of El Cairo, Instituto Cervantes of London, and in festivals of Strasbourg, Moscow, Viena, Helsinki, Rome, Alexandria, and others.

He is invited to participate as a member of the jury in important international competitions, such as the "Internationaler Acordeon-Wettbewerb Klingenthal" or the "Arrasate Hiria International Accordion Competition", and he collaborated in the edition of the book “Accordion for Composers”, where he shows the large musical possibilities of the accordion.

Currently he is a professor in ESMUC (High School of Music of Catalunya), and in MUSIKENE (High School of Music of the Basque Country). He has also collaborated with the “BBK Collections”, the “Asociación de Compositores Vasco-Navarros” and FNAC-JJMM. In 2005 he has finished the CD called “Chamber Music Today” with the Spanish label VERSO, where he works with Miguel Ituarte, David Apellániz, Josetxo Silguero and Pilar Jurado.


In June of 2005 makes de world premiere of the concerto for accordion written by Jesús Torres in the National Auditorium in Madrid with the “Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid” obtaining a great success in the performance. In November of that year he played again that work with the same orchestra in France, but this time conducted by José Ramón Encinar.

During the coming season it is important to point out the world premiere of the didactic concert "Cuentos de Andersen" by Jesús Torres, and the tour of concert in Finlandia, Londres and Spain.
